Proud New Mums!

Well it's been ages since I got around to blogging again so I thought I better do another post!

What I've noticed since being a new mummy (besides a general feeling of dismay at NEVER getting a sleep-in anymore!) is that I've become a lot better friends with alot of other new mum's in our church which is fantastic!

Here is a picture of Josh and me with our friends Jana and Abbey just before we all left the hospital. Josh and Abbey were born on the same morning at Papakura Maternity Hospital. The funny thing is that Jana and I had been joking all throughout our pregnancies (we were due a week apart) about how funny it would be if we ended up giving birth at the same time. Jana was worried I might get there first and steal her birthing pool since we both wanted to have water births.... and as it turns out I did! Completely unknown to either of us we were both in labour at the same time and when Jana arrived at Papakura in the early hours of the morning the first thing she heard while walking down the corridor towards the birthing room was me (but she didn't know it was me) screaming my head off (I told you in the last blog entry - it was flipping sore!!)... Poor girl! Not only did I end up stealing her pool but I probably scared the crap out of her too!

It's been so good having Abbey and Josh the exact same age because so many things they've done or had happen since being born have been the same and it's such a relief when you are a first time Mum I reckon to hear that everything is normal and such a comfort to know that someone else is going through all the same stuff as you at the same time!
